USA Today has an good article on the 22 states (plus the District of Columbia) who have raised their minimum wages as of January 1, 2019.
Locally:
- Massachusetts minimum wage is $11 per hour as 1/1/2018, an increase of $1 per hour;
- New York minimum wage is $15 for large employers in New York City; $13.50 for small employers in New York City; $12 in Long Island and Westchester County; and $11.10 everywhere else;
- Rhode Island minimum wage is $10.50 per hour as 1/1/2018, an increase of $.40 per hour; and
- Vermont minimum wage is $10.78 per hour as 1/1/2018, an increase of $.28 per hour.
Connecticut did not increase its minimum wage of $10.10 per hour.
It is interesting to note that the Federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour.
